Every ROC floor plan has a unique feature.
Of course, all ROC homes feature our unique and rare “1st Floor Lifestyle”. That means the kitchen, dining, and family rooms are all on the first floor – no traipsing upstairs with your groceries or a child on your hip. Just because you want to live “in town” does not mean you have to buy a “town-home” and live like bees in a hive! ROC gets it. Give ’em first-floor living, a patio yard, a private two-car wide driveway and standing alone, not attached to someone else. SO! In addition to all that, each individual floor plan has it’s own unique feature too.
The ROCmoore 2550
This patio home has an incredible 10-foot by 5-foot island in the kitchen. Equipt with a stainless steel extra deep, double bowl sink with Moen pull-down faucet. How much time do we all spend at our kitchen sinks? Often with our backs to everything and everyone else. This island is large enough to seat four people. Who will feel guilty beyond belief as they watch you wash dishes from the fabulous 4-course dinner you just served. Maybe, if your lucky and a pretty good actor, someone will offer to wash the dishes for you. How’s that for an incredible feature?
Next is the mudroom. If you are from ‘up North’ you already know what this wonderful catch-all room is. The Texas difference is it’s right off the attached garage so actually getting mud in this room is highly unlikely. However, it is a fantastic charging hub for cell phones, PC’s, iPads, Kindles and so on. Ideally, this will keep them off the kitchen counters!
It’s also a great place to pop off your MJ’s after playing hoops or Nike’s after a run. Better yet you know where they’ll BE when needed tomorrow. A couple of our homeowners are going to add a desk to this 10’x8′ space for meal planning, grocery shopping online and looking through (and pitching) their snail-mail. It’s the perfect pet room for the food & water bowls, a comfy bed, leashes, grooming tools, and extra towels for Fluffy’s bath. No matter how you use our mudroom, you will use it, promise!
Another unique feature of this 2550 SQ FT patio home with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 full baths, and a walk-in pantry to die for, is the huge area ROC has carved out for storage – under the stairs! If you’ve been shopping for a home you know exactly what I’m talking about. “Now, why in the heck would they waste this space?” has been a question I’ve heard, literally, hundreds of times in the 22 years I’ve been in the new home industry. So when designing The ROCmoore 2550 this little detail did not escape our attention.
