Since we began building in Houston's Inner Loop we have  focused on providing real homes to our home buyers, not 'beehives' with townhouses crammed in as tight as possible with little concern about the homeowners lifestyle. That's why ROC Homes has worked with numerous architects over the years (15 to be exact) to offer a plan, a home, a Patio Home that features FIRST FLOOR LIVING.

What's that you ask? (Don't be shy, many do ask).Well, it's a two or three story single family home with the foyer, kitchen, dining room, a half bath and family room ON THE FIRST FLOOR of the home. We're able to do this BECAUSE we only put two homes on a single lot.


We do that without breaking the bank because we have 15 years of buying power, we've formed lifelong relationships with those we work with in both building and financing. ROC Homes has found a way to offer affordable 2200-2800 square foot homes that are well appointed, but not over-the-top, with name brand American products, not Chinese products, and by hiring the best in the industry to bring it all together.

Our homeowners have told us for years how much they appreciate how informative and knowledgeable all of the members of TEAM ROC were and are.  Well it's because we live and work where we build.  I personally am a resident in The Houston Heights area just north of I-10 and South of Loop 610.  ROC has built both inventory homes and Custom Built homes home in Rice Military, Montrose, Midtown, West University, Rice University, Bellaire, Meyerland and the Museum District.  We specialize in finding dilapidated 'eye-sores' which add nothing to our communities and in fact can be a nuisance and dangerous if left alone and unloved. We pride ourselves on being one of the few home builders who believes we should leave as much green space as we can on each lot and one way of doing this is to only build 2 homes per lot rather than four with a shared driveway.  In many cases this allows us to have a small back 'yard' and thus the term: PATIO HOME.

Since we began building in Houston's Inner Loop we have also focused on providing real homes to our home buyers not 'beehives' where townhouse are crammed in as tight as possible with little concern about the home buyers lifestyle.  Over the years we have worked with numerous architects to arrive at 2-3 versions of a Patio Home that fits comfortably on the typical Houston Inner Loop lot size of 50'x100' or 2500 sqft. Not an easy feat and why most 'in town' builders don't bother to make the effort.

I know what your thinking to yourself, "Self, I bet those are really expensive homes. I couldn't possibly afford one of those." Well, I'm here to tell you, YOU CAN!! Our 15 years of inner loop building and selling experience in the most popular urban neighborhoods in Houston has garnered a lot of financial support from some of the largest, most reputable banks in Houston. This allows us to swoop in quickly to buy and close on those 'ugly lots' and start the building process much more quickly than 'the other guys'. All of this is possible because ROC Homes is, and has always been, run by our own Eric "ROC" Hymowitz a 30 year veteran in the industry in the accounting and financial sector.
